Courtney + William’s (aka Mo) wedding was such a dream! Besides being in one of my all time favorite neighborhoods in NYC (Tribeca!), Courtney + Mo didn’t miss a beat when it came to welcoming their guests to the Big Apple! Being that a large portion of their guests were traveling from out of town, it was really important to everyone to have every detail well thought out. I loved how Courtney + Mo added iconic NYC tributes throughout the day. We’re huge believers of this and we 100% agree that the more personalized a wedding day is, the better!
Throughout the planning, Courtney was really organized, which was a huge plus for us! And Mo, from the very beginning, was very adamant about two things. One non-negotiable was to organize a pick-up basketball game the morning of the wedding, with all of his groomsmen. And the other was riding Citibike from the hotel to the Church. As the planner, and being that it was my job to make sure the day ran smoothly, you could see why these nontraditional ideas made me super nervous! Obviously, we don’t want any sprained ankles (could you image?!) and we also needed everyone to arrive at the Church safely, and ideally, with clean suits! But, thankfully, both of these plans worked out and we took over the worrying so that Mo and Courtney didn’t have to.
After the beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, the couple made their way to their reception in a NYC Yellow Taxi Cab provided by Film Cars, which was also used as a photo opp for their out-of-town guests. The decal on Tribeca Rooftop’s entrance doors was the perfect first impression when guests entered for cocktail hour. We heard so many compliments and they knew from that moment, the night was going to be really special. During cocktail hour, guests were able to take in the breathtaking views of NYC while dining on amazing hors d’oeuvres and cocktails from the martini bar on the buildings rooftop. Later, they were escorted down to the the beautiful enclosed atrium space, where you could still feel like you were up on the roof!
The newlyweds evening was taken to the next level by Starlight Music’s Blake Band, and the couple decided to extend an entire hour to keep the dancing going. When the night concluded, guests had one final surprise – NY style pizza as guest were leaving to continue the celebrations at the after party at a local bar down the street!
To Courtney and Mo – thank you so much for allowing me to share in your special day! Every moment working together was a pleasure! I can’t wait to see all that you two will accomplish as husband and wife! Xoxo
Thank you to all the vendors who helped make the day possible!
